英文摘要

The purpose of this paper is to make a review of the previous studies related to the evaluation of science textbooks. Many researchers have evaluated the nature of science textbooks. Some have proposed procedures for others to follow in making such assessments. Some have proposed standards for use in judging the appropriateness of given books to specific student levels and needs. Some have raised issues regarding the textbooks bias and ideology. Some have suggested how to design quality textbooks to match science education goals. The following are the important research results related to the major questions posed for the evaluation of science textbooks.
