台灣男性與東南亞女性的跨國婚姻正逐年快速的增加。據估計在台灣每九對婚姻即有一對是屬於跨國婚姻，此種快速增加的外籍新娘現象，將會大大地改變台灣的社會及人口的結構。本研究將重點放在移民第二多的印尼新娘，探討其生活與健康關注。研究方法採用質性研究的深度訪談配合參與者觀察法以收集資料，15 位印尼籍婦女參與本研究。訪談的資料以內容分析法加以整理歸類。研究結果發現這些移民的印尼籍婦女其生活與健康關注可歸類出四個主題，包括移民適應、溝通困難、家族延續以及健康照顧系統利用的障礙。根據本研究結果，研究者提出健康照顧與健康政策的建議。期望健康照顧專業人員能夠瞭解設計並提供文化敏感性與適切性的健康照顧，對這些婦女及其小孩的健康促進相當重要。
