Adult Transmesenteric Herniation without Predisposing Risk Factors: A Case Report

本文報告一位無開刀及外傷病史的68歲男性病患罹患急性腹痛引發腹膜炎經剖腹探查後證實為少見的經腸擊膜腹內疝氣。依文獻報告，此病症術前的診斷的比例仍低，但反覆詳細的理學檢查、診察者的警覺性、即時的電腦斷層攝影與早期的剖腹探查，才能避免威脅生命的併發症發生。

A 68 year old male presented with acute onset of severe abdominal pain lasting eight hours. There was no past history of abdominal trauma or surgery. Abdominal computed tomography indicated possible bowel ischemia. Exploratory laparotomy revealed transmesenteric hernia (TMH). The patient was successfully treated with ileal resection, anastamosis, and repair of the mesenteric defect. The unusual presentation of this rare case of TMH without predisposing factors is discussed.
