本單位曾發生儀器電源線走火及內視鏡手術布單起火事件，現況調查醫護人員對預防火災認知正確率為53.5%，火災情境模擬演練應變能力71.3%，缺失原因為缺乏預防火災教育訓練及演練、無「預防火災高風險術式」標準作業流程、無儀器設備保養規範及手術室逃生設備不足。本專案為提升手術室醫護人員火災應變能力，以提供醫護人員及手術病人安全的場所，介入制定消防演練計畫、制定火災高風險術式標準流程、修訂儀器設備保養規範，包含製作電源保護設備與製作氣體鋼瓶固定架、及手術房間增設「火災疏散包」等解決方案。專案自2016年6月6日至2017年5月31日，改善後醫護人員對預防火災認知正確率及火災模擬演練應變能力皆提升為100%，顯示專案改善策略成效卓著。

In our department, there was an electrical fire owing to a faulty instrument power cord causing combustion of a surgical cloth during endoscopic surgery. For Medical Personnel, the fire risk perception was 53.5% and the fire emergency response was only 71.3% before the program. We found that there was a lack of education related to operating room fires, with no standard operation procedure (SOP) for high-risk surgical fires, equipment had not been examined regularly and fire safety supplies were inadequate. The goals of the project were to provide a safe workplace for medical staff in the operating room, to improve response protocol for operating room fire prevention, and to protect both staff and patients. Resolution: The improvement program included 1). Setup SOP for high-risk operating room fire; 2). Conduct simulation-based learning; 3). Establish regulations for maintenance of equipment; 4). Design power protection devices; 5). Make gas cylinder holders; and 6). Add ＂fire evacuation kit＂ in the operating room. The improvement program introduced from May 2016 to April 2017 was effective. Both fire-risk perception and fire emergency response of healthcare personnel improved to 100% after the program.
