研究目的:瞭解台灣各級學校緊急醫療救護設備、師生與校護接受過的急救訓練以及學校應付重大緊急傷病之應變流程。方法:本研究採描述性研究,以問卷進行調查,研究期間自民國93年1月1日至民國93年12月31日,總共發出問卷2,210份,有效回收問卷數為1,549份,回收率為70.1%。結果:1.絕大多數學校沒有救護車(99%)、急救箱(60%)、急救背包(74%)、傻瓜電擊器(AED)(99%);2.大專、完全中學、高中、國中、國小各級學校分別有43-84%的學校沒有給學生辦理急救訓練,31-56%沒有給教職員辦理急救課程;3.各級學校分別有33%-44%校護接受過救護技術員(EMT-1)的訓練,25%-45%的校護接受過高級心臟救命術(ACLS)訓練;4.各級學校分別顯示僅26-48%距離消防分小隊的車程在5分鐘內,21-41%距離學校最近醫院的車程在5分鐘之內;5.如果校園內發生緊急意外或傷病事故,校護又不在學校,其作業應變流程,有48-62%的學校都是教導學生,先通知老師或教官;如校護有在學校,規定先通知校護,再打119的學校,各佔32-54%。

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to realize the present status of emergency medical services (EMS) in the schools in Taiwan. Method: A descriptive research design through questionare survey was conducted from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004. Result: Totally, 1,549 of 2,210 samples were responsed at a rate of 70.1%. The characteristics of EMS in the schools on this island were as follows. (1)The majority of schools had no ambulance (99%), no first aid kit (60%), no rescue back pack (74%), nor automated external defibrillator (AED) (99%). (2)43-84% of the schools of each category did not have the emergency training course for students, and 31-56% not for teachers and employees. (3)33-44% of school nurses received EMT-1 training course and 25-45% of school nurses received ACLS training. (4)26-48% of schools reported that the distance beween their school and firefighter squad was less than 5 minutes. 21-41% of schools reported that the distance beween their schools and the nearest hospital were less than 5 minutes. (5)The emergency medical response system in 48-62% of the schools (in case school nurses were absent) stipulated to notify teachers or military training officers first. However, when school nurses were present, 32-54% of the schools called nurses first before informing 119.
