The study adopted experimental design with single preand post-test method, using bilingual caregiver nasogastric tube guidance as a tool, examining the effectiveness of individualized education on the caregivers' knowledge and skills of caring nasogastric tube. Seventy purposive samples were involved. The qualified home care nurses gave advice and instruction during home visits. The questionnaires included demographic database, knowledge of caring nasogastric tube, caring skill scale and records of unscheduled inserted tube. The data were collected once before intervention and three times after intervention. Each time was at an inferval of one month, using SPSS 10.0, data were analyzed by paired t-test and Pearson's correlation. The results showed that individualized education could improve our caregiver's knowledge (t=16.26, p<.001) and technique (t=16.51, p<.001), and reduce the occurrences of reinserted tube (t=-2.18, p<0.05). This study could be an example and guideline on our clinical usage and home care nursing education.
