2009年4月底北美開始爆發H1N1新型流感疫情，臺灣亦遭遇全球性的流感衝擊。感染H1N1新型流感的病人，在短時間不僅要經歷身體不適的症狀外，更必須面對一連串心理上的煎熬。本文是探討一位H1N1病人於急診求醫過程，因疾病與隔離措施引發之相關護理問題。在2009年11月20~27日，病人於急診七天的隔離期間，筆者以身體檢查、觀察、會談進行資料收集分析，於急診密集的照顧過程，發現病人有體溫過高、睡眠型態紊亂、焦慮及因隔離治療衍生出社交隔離之護理問題，筆者依病人之健康問題提供個別性之護理措施，適時關心其需求、促進舒適、減緩症狀困擾、並提供H1N1新型流感疾病衛教本，讓病人可充分了解疾病及該注意的事項，協助病人面對內心的真實感受等措施。H1N1的照護是全新的照護經驗，期望藉由此篇報告能提供臨床急診護理人員在照護此類似病人之參考，不僅解決病人生理上的病痛，亦提供情緒方面的照護及心理支持，達到整體性護理之目的。

In April 2009, a novel H1N1 influenza virus had emerged and became pandemic. The impact of the novel H1N1 influenza virus included not only physical illness but also mental and psychological suffering.The paper discussed a case of novel H1N1 influenza virus infection who presented nursing problems due to isolation protection during emergency department admission (from Nov 20(superscript th)~27(superscript th), 2007). The data was collected for analysis via physical examinations, observation and confrontation conversation.During the intensive nursing care, we found our patient suffered from hyperthermia, sleep pattern disturbance and anxiety. In addition, social isolation was developed due to isolation protection. We help the patient to deal with these problems by fulfilling his physical needs, relieving clinical symptoms and sharing medical information.Caring for a patient with novel H1N1 influenza virus infection was an unprecedented experience, hopefully it could serve as a reference for clinical emergency nursing staffs when caring for patients with H1N1. In order to provide a holistic nursing care, we should tend not only physical illness bult also psychological and mental suffering.
