一位年輕女性乳癌術後之恢復室護理經驗

A Nursing Experience of a Young Female Breast Cancer Patient in the Recovery Room After Mastectomy

本文探討一位27歲女性行左側部分乳房腫瘤切除術後恢復室照護過程。護理期間自2014年4月2日10:55至12:30，藉由術後直接照護、觀察、會談等整體性評估，發現個案於術後有舒適障礙、傷口疼痛及對術後治療計劃不明暸，而產生不確定感等護理問題。筆者指導個案深呼吸以轉移注意力及緩解噁心、發抖；利用小被子支托患側，減輕疼痛；談話中發現個案對術後治療計劃不明瞭及化療後生活有不確定感，經由交班請醫師解說，也請乳癌同事分享治療經驗，增進個案對未來的信心。在照護經驗中體會到，恢復室護理除穩定生命徵象外，護理人員的陪伴，可減少個案的不安。

This article discusses the nursing experience of a 27-year-old woman with left-sided breast cancer in recovery room after partial mastectomy. The nursing period lasted from 10:55 to 12:30 on Apr. 2^(nd), 2014. Comprehensive assessment with immediate postoperative care, observation, and conversation were conducted and the following health issues were identified: postoperative discomfort, wound pain, and uncertainty derived from inadequate understanding of postoperative treatment plan. To address these issues, the author carried out the following nursing interventions: instructed the patient to take deep breathes to redirect attention away from and hence alleviate the symptom of nausea and trembling; support the surgical site with small quilt to relief postoperative pain; enhance the patient's confidence by introducing the doctor on duty to brief the postoperative treatment plan and a colleague, a breast cancer survivor, to share her recovery experience. The author has realized from this nursing process that recovery room nursing, aside from stabilizing patient vitals, could alleviate patient discomfort and anxiety through attentive care.
