2007年顧玉玲的《我們：移動與勞動的生命記事》，獲得了第九屆的台北文學獎年金首獎，這本紀錄「他者」卻名為「我們」，書寫菲律賓移工在台灣的報導散文，再現了移工在全球資本主義化下的移動與勞動，以及移工們之間的弱勢結盟與抗爭。本文嘗試探討，顧玉玲在《我們》這本書中，如何藉由不同主體的關係與位置，堆疊出不同層次的「我們」，擁有不同文化與語言的弱勢族裔，如何在台灣這個華語語系區域中生產他們的日常生活與台灣經驗。而以台灣作為結點，移動與勞動的歷史過程又如何讓我們重新思考台灣與菲律賓之間的關係？《我們》除了帶給台灣研究更多深刻的批判與反思之外，這樣的對話也同時提供華語語系研究一個獨特的視角與案例。

In 2007, Ku Yu-ling's Our Stories: Migration and Labor in Taiwan won the first prize in the 9th Taipei Literature Award. This reportage book, consisting of a collection of essays, is titled our stories while actually documents their stories, i.e. the stories of the Pilipino laborers in Taiwan, representing their movement and daily work under global capitalism, as well as the alliances formed by migrant workers and their protests. This study aims to explore how Ku, by demonstrating the migrant workers' social positions and interpersonal relationships, constructs a layered definition of “we/us”, and reflects the daily experience of the marginalized ethnic groups with different languages and cultures in Taiwan, a part of Sinophone regions. In what way, on the other hand, does the historical process of migrant workers help us reflect upon the relation between the Philippines and Taiwan? This book not only provides profound criticism for Taiwan studies, but also offers a unique perspective to Sinophone studies as a case study.
