Western studies on leadership increasingly found the value of eastern philosophy of Confucius, which constitutes the main context and culture in most Chinese organizations. Analects contained the fundamental thought of Confucius, which influenced Chinese culture for over two thousand and five hundred years. While in modem society, ling Si Aphorism is the teachings of thoughts from Master Cheng Yen, a Buddhist nun who is the founder of Tzu Chi Foundation, a dominated influenced non-profit organization started from Taiwan to more than fifty countries overseas. Based on the methodology of literature review and comparative analysis, the similarities of core value can be found in Analects and ling Si Aphorism. Both manifest that "Filial piety and fraternal are the root of all benevolent actions." The relationship among ethics, morality and leadership were also discussed. Then we compare the beliefs and perspectives of leadership in Analects and ling Si Aphorism.
