志賀直哉(1883/2/20～1971/10/21)是日本的小說家，活耀於日本大正至昭和時期.「大津順吉」發表於1912年，全篇分為「第一」和「第二」兩部分。須藤松雄曾批評「大津順吉」「第一」和「第二」間有「斷層」。大屋幸世同意須藤松雄的看法、並指出「斷層」的產生是由於志賀直哉將「第三篇」改稿至「大津順吉」時受到法國小說家Anatole France 的作品『Le crime de Sylvestre Bannard, membre de I'Institut』影響的緣故。「第三篇」是「大津順吉」的草稿，約一百五十頁，分為十章，第十章中斷未完。有感於「第三篇」改稿至「大津順吉」所衍生的差異，變化等問題尚有考察空間，謹藉本論文加以探討。

Shiga Naoya (20 February 1883 - 21 October 1971) was a Japanese novelist active during the Taishōand Shōwa periods of Japan. ＂Ohtsu Jyunkichi,＂ published in 1912, is divided into two parts. Sutou Matuo criticized this work, saying that there is a ＂gap＂ between part 1 and part 2. Ooya Satiyo agreed with him, and pointed out that the ＂gap＂ originated when an earlier work, ＂The Third＂ was rewritten to become ＂Otsu Junkichi.＂ At this time , the author was influenced by the works of the French novelist Anatole France, such as ＂Le crime de Sylvestre Bonnard, membre de l'Institut.＂ ＂The Third ＂ can thus be considered a draft of ＂Ohtsu Junkichi,＂ of about 150 pages and divided into 10 chapters, though Chapter 10 is unfini shed. This paper explores issues relating to the process of rewriting ＂The Third＂ to become ＂Otsu Junkichi.＂
