本研究旨在以問卷調查法及量化分析來探討:一、目前台灣的父母成就信念、親職型態的現況。二、父母成就信念透過親職行為、兒童成就價值信念,進而對學業成就直接與間接的影響。三、並建立父母成就信念、親職行為、親子關係、兒童成就價值信念、學業成就之關係模式:特定親職行為為中介變項 (Mediator Variable)。在資料搜集上,取高雄市及台北縣各一所國小之三、四、五年級學生為取樣對象。以隨機抽樣方式,抽出各年級各兩班為施測學生。 研究結果發現: 一、父母的教育價值信念是父母教養行為的重要影響因素。 二、父母的教育價值觀可以預測兒童的認知表現。 三、父母親的教育價值觀念中對兒童學業能力評估會影響兒童的自我學業能力評估及教育期望。 四、父母親職行為中,父母溫暖的行為會影響兒童的自我學業能力評估,而監督行為沒有影響力。父親溫暖行為、母親溫暖及監督行為能直接影響兒童教育價值及教育期望;但在父親監督行為方面,影響較少。 五、徑路分析(path analysis)發現母親與父親的溫暖及監督行為對兒童的各種變項有不同的直接與間接影響。 六、兒童的教育價值信念,包含自我學業能力評估、教育價值及教育期望,皆會直接影響其學業成績的表現。
