張愛玲(1920~1995)自上世紀四0年代寫作以來,即備受矚目。〈五四遺事-羅文濤三美團圓〉發表於1957年,為張愛玲抵美初期之作。本論文以此為閱讀對象,採用陳思和文本細讀為方法,架構小說課程的教學層次。首先,由「直面作品」開展,協助學生走入文學世界,碰觸作家心靈,尋找主客間的應和;接著深入小說技巧,即「尋找經典」、「尋找縫隙」及「尋找原形」,分別帶領學生由經典對照間看出張愛玲深刻的嘲諷,由縫隙的安排中讀出她書寫人性的企圖,再由隱藏的原型裡分析荒謬小說結局的成因。課程主要採取討論方式,除了協助學生理解張愛玲小說創作風貌外,也期待學生學習文本細讀的方法,透過自我操作練習分析其他文學作品。 |
英文摘要 |
Eileen Chang (1920~1995) has drawn great attention since she wrote in 1940s of the previous century. "Stale Mates: Reunion of Three Beauties of Wen-tao Lo" was published in 1957 and it was the early work when Eileen Chang arrived at the U.S. This study treats it as the reading subject and adopts Si-ho Chen's text close reading as the method to construct instructional level of fiction course. First, based on "direct work", it helps students enter the world of literature, approach the writer's spirit and search for correspondence between subjects and objects; subsequently, upon in-depth techniques of fiction, "searching for classics", "searching for cracks" and "searching for the prototype", it guides students to recognize Eileen Chang's profound taunts by comparing with the classics, to read her intention to depict humanity by the arrangement of cracks and further discover the underlying prototype to analyze the cause of absurd ending in the fiction. The course is mainly based on discussion. It not only assists with students to comprehend Eileen Chang's creation style, but also expects students to learn text close reading and analyze other literary work by self-practice. |
