本研究以Bourdieu文化資本的概念,探討報紙投書版實踐媒介近用的現況。「媒介近用」的精神在於負起社會責任並開創與民眾積極的互動關係,然而投書版再現投書者的職業、頭銜時,無形將社會實體的制度性文化資本所構連的社會地位帶入投書場域,而投書者身份與主題的代表性與象徵性,可能降低弱勢個人近用媒介的意願。媒體是社會公器,媒體應反省如何更接近媒介近用的精神,而民眾也應該培養媒體是公共領域的意識,主動參與媒介近用的活動。 |
英文摘要 |
The present study aims to examine who gains access to opinion page in the newspaper in terms of Bourdieu's concept of cultural capital. This study found that elites, compared to the ordinary people, are more likely to gain more access to the opinion page. In addition, the newspaper tends to highlight the title and profession of contributors, which articulate status and power, whereby symbolic violence may find its way into opinion page and may furthermore reduce the public's incentive to access the media. As a public good the media should strive to insure public access to the media. The public should be aware of the fact that the media is part of the public sphere and take an active role to access the media. |
