中文摘要

Catechins was demonstrated to has antioxidant and redusing blood sugar capacity The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of catechins on antioxidative and:, blood sugar status in senescence accelerated mice (SAMP8) Six-month-old senescence accelelated male mice were divided into four groups control group, 12.5, 50, 200 mg/kg BW catechins. After 12 Weeks of feeding, body weight, food intake, water intake The oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) were analyzed before sacrificed And the activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD), glutathione reductase, total thiol, and protein carbonyl concentrations were analyzed after sacrificed. The results showed that there were no significant differences in the body weight, food intake, drink amount The OGTT, experimental group mice had significantly lower than control group on blood sugar in before and 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes (P<0.05). In plasma insulin concentration, experimental group had significantly lower than control group in before and 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes (P<0.05). The G-6-PD, glutathione reductase activity and total thiol concentration, experimental group mice had significantly higher than control group (p<0.05). The protein carbonyl concentrations in the experimental group were significantly lower than control group. From the findings of these results the supply of catechins may improve antioxidative system and increased glucose sensitive in SAMP8 mice
