青春痘是使人類感到苦惱的一項常見的疾病，本研究目的是經由訪談以得知青春痘患者的感受。探討內容包含引起青春痘的原因，及人口變項和青春痘狀況的相關性。研究發現造成青春痘狀況不佳的因素有飲食、臉部清潔法、以及防曬措施，在一些量性研究的文獻中，呈現以上變項深受文化背景所影響。本質性研究描述個案，因為沒有正確的概念根據，而對青春痘有錯誤的觀點。改進問題後，運用正向的身、心健康保健信念，對青春痘患者有顯著正面的影響。

Acne was one of the commonest diseases to afflict humanity. The purpose of this study was to gain a picture of the levels of feeling among acne patients. The study will explore the relationship between these factors and the demographic factors were examined as they relate to the condition of acne. The findings in this study of lay perceptions of causation of acne and of the efficacy of diet, face washing, and UV-light exposure were congruent with results of quantitative studies conducted in a range of cultural settings. This qualitative study provided a context for previously documented lay beliefs regarding acne myths and misconceptions. The beliefs were firmly held, and positive mental health effects accruing to patients holding these beliefs may be significant.
