Hundred-pace snake (Deinagkistrodon acutus) symbolizes authority and position in Paiwan tribe and also standard for the ancestry and patron saint of Paiwan, usually, the pattern of snake is applied as decoration on the dress, wood sculpture, stone carving equipment, ceramic jug, and human body tattoo etc. Nowadays, many totem decorations of hundred-pace snack of Paiwan, which come close to the new generation, appeared gradually in the market. It not only using the special totem, but also incorporate the symbols of culture and social in it. However, what is the real design style of Paiwan's hundred-space snack totem and the possibility of applying hundred-pace snack totem to make-up design is worthy to study.Based on the method of literature review, this research aims to understand the meanings as well as classifications of hundred-pace snake totem of Paiwan and analyze the make-up style of it. Then, according to the information obtained above, elements of color and shape were abstracted to create make-up designs with the style of hundred-pace snake of Paiwan.
