Discussing the Difference between Executive Function and Intelligence in Schizophrenia to Help Psychiatric Rehabilitation

臨床上，部分精神分裂症患者出現智力測驗表現在正常範圍，但卻無法回復原先或非庇護性工作。傳統智力測驗結果與實際工作表現明顯差距使復健工作有所阻礙。成年期發病的精神分裂症患者可能因大腦受損時間較晚，或接受較長教育年數，如此使其能維持較佳的語文智商，而這也拉大語文與操作智商的差距，使全智商失真。借助與執行（額葉）功能有關的神經心理測驗能更有效幫助我們瞭解精神分裂症者的真實能力的全貌，也能有助於後續復建工作。

Sometimes, some schizophrenia patients we met had the normal intelligence quotient, but they failed to do their orignal work or common jobs. The difference between the result of traditional intelligent test (e.g. WAIS) and work performance is an obstacle to psychiatric rehabilitation. Neuropsychological tests for assessing executive function can help us to get more information about patients to contribute to rehabilitation.
