目標：目前國內外已經有許多研究證實動物或寵物治療課程介入的成效，而本篇研究目的即是更進一步探討動物或寵物治療對失能者介入有哪些具體成效，以及在哪方面的成效（生理、心理或社會參與）助益最大。方法：以質性深度訪談方式進行，探討狗醫生課程介入後，身障機構住民身心狀態的改變，主要評估面向包括：（1）介入課程內容、（2）身體功能成效、（3）心理狀態成效、（4）課程相關建議。結果：研究結果發現狗醫生志工比較著重於身體活動成效上的描述，而照護者則認為在心理狀態方面的成效較身體活動方面顯著，但整體而言，狗醫生志工與照護者皆認為狗醫生課程的介入，對療養院住民身體活動與心理狀態是有所幫助的。結論：本篇研究顯示狗醫生志工與照護者對狗醫生之成效都抱持著正面支持的態度，因此建議可將狗醫生課程加以推廣、執行，用以改善身心障礙者的身體功能與心理狀態，提升他們的生活品質。 |
| 英文摘要 |
Objectives: The aims of this study are to investigate further effect of animal assisted therapy (AAT) toward people with disabilities and how is more effective on physical or mental aspect due to many studies have verified animal assisted therapy's (AAT) effect. Methods: In depth qualitative interview is used to examine the change of physical and mental state of the nursing home residents after AAT (Dr. Dog). The main dimensions we analyzed were (1) content of the therapy (2) physical status (3) mental status (4) recommendations of the therapy. Results: It is found that dog handlers emphasized more on physical status, such as helping residents doing more activities, while caregivers considered that mental status have much more effect. Overall, both dog handlers and caregivers believed that Dr. Dog is effective to disability institutional residents on their physical and mental status. Conclusions: Dog handlers and caregivers were all approved that Dr. Dog is effective. It is suggested that the therapy should be promote and carry out to make people with disabilities a better living quality by improving their physical and mental health. |
