筆者與同仁遊台北市郊天溪園聞蟬，歸來後，引發寫本文的動機。本文首先簡介天溪園，次說蟬，再次說詠蟬詩，後舉幾首蟬詩，並加賞析。

The author went on a trip for listening to cicadas in the Tien Shi Garden, a suburb of Taipei. After returning from the trip, the author was highly motivated by the vivid impressions about the cicadas to express them in writing. First of all, the article introduces Tien Shi Garden, then cicadas, then cicada-praising poetry, and then examples of cicada-praising poetry with appreciation and evaluation.
