目的:以臺北某科技職場員工為對象,分析健康體能與健康檢查的結果,並依據職場健康評估報告,提出職場健康促進計畫。方法:2004年6月間某職場員工97位,接受健康檢查與健康體能檢測;項目包括:血糖、尿酸、三酸甘油、高密度膽固醇、身體質量指數(body massindex,以下簡稱BMI)、肌耐力測驗(仰臥起坐)、柔軟度(坐姿體前彎)、心肺耐力(登階測驗)。結果:97位職場員工之BMI平均值為22.7(±3.5)kg/平方公尺,大於等於27kg/平方公尺者有5位,符合代謝症候群診斷者12位(12.4%)。與BMI顯著相關的因素有血糖、尿酸、三酸甘油。心肺耐力指數與血糖、尿酸、三酸甘油、身體質量指數之間無顯著相關。BMI≧27kg/平方公尺或男性腰圍>90公分,女性腰圍>80公分者的血糖、尿酸、三酸甘油、收縮壓均顯著較高。結論:身體質量指數與腰圍可做為職場員工平時健康監測的簡易指標。本研究針對健康檢查與健康體能的評估結果,提出「職場體能與健康評估報告」,嘗試以調查、評估、計畫介入的健康促進方式,與職場員工共同推動健康體能、健康飲食,建立職場健康自主管理的照護模式。

Background and Purpose: A physical fitness and health assessment was conducted in one high tech Workplace in Taipei and a workplace health promotion program was designed in accordance with the results. Methods: A physical fitness and health examination was conducted on 97 workers in June 2004 and results were analyzed. The examination measured fasting blood sugar, uric acid, triglyceride levels, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and body mass index (BMI), as well as evaluating strength (bent-leg curl-ups), flexibility (sit-and-reach test), and cardiovascular endurance (step test). Results: The mean BMI among these 97 workers was 22.7 (±3.5) kg/m^2, with 5 workers (5.2%) scoring over 27 kg/m^2. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome was 12.4% (12/97) at this workplace. BMI was correlated with fasting blood sugar, uric acid, and triglyceride levels. Cardiovascular endurance (step test) revealed no correlation with fasting blood sugar, uric acid, triglyceride levels or BMI. Workers with a BMI of≧27 kg/m^2 or higher waist circumference (>90cm in males, >80 cm in females) showed a tendency toward elevated fasting blood sugar, uric acid, triglyceride levels and systolic blood pressure. Conclusion: Aside from regular health examinations, BMI and waist circumference may be used as brief indicators for assessing health status. Following investigation and assessment, a workplace health promotion program was designed as an intervention for promoting health-related physical fitness, a healthy diet and to establish a self-management model in the workplace.
