企業社會責任泛指企業承諾在持續遵守道德規範之前提下，為經濟發展付出貢獻，並改善其員工之工作環境、響應環境保護及投入社會公益，促進社會的整體發展與全民之生活品質。台灣企業社會責任永續報告目前仍以金融保險、傳統產業、科技業等上市櫃具有規模的公司為主，相對而言醫療產業及醫院發布企業社會責任永續報告者尚不多。近年醫院有公開揭示社會責任永續報告之內容，基本包含醫院現況、經營管理、幸福職場以及醫療服務等，並已見醫院開始對於環境永續及社會責任之投入及關注。面對當前變化快速的社會型態，企業必須重新認識及定位自身的社會角色，善盡社會責任，國內醫院推行企業社會責任及永續報告尚未普遍發展，仍有待政府與醫院雙方的共同努力加強推動。

Corporate social responsibility generally refers to the company's commitment to abide law and ethical standards, contribute to economic development, improve work-environment of employees, support environmental protection and investment of social welfare, and promote the overall development of society and quality of life of all people. In Taiwan, corporate social responsibility sustainability reports are still dominated by large-scale listed companies in financial insurance, traditional industries, and science and technology industries. Relatively, few medical industries and hospitals have published their social sustainability reports. Among the publicly released social responsibility sustainability reports of the hospitals, the contents mainly focus on the current situation of the hospital, management, friendly workplace, and medical services. Also, investments and concerns for environmental sustainability and social responsibility are revealed in these reports. In face of the happening rapid social changes, the enterprises should re-recognize and re-position their social roles and fulfill their social responsibilities. The implementation of corporate social responsibility and sustainability reports of hospitals has not yet been generally developed in Taiwan, and it is to be exerted together and promoted by the government and the hospitals.
