This study investigates Indian students' satisfaction with their Mandarin course and teachers from Taiwan, as well as with online learning after COVID-19 pandemic and to know to what extent the border clashes between India and China affected the willingness of learning Mandarin. The quantitative survey conducted through 452 students of whom 341 provided complete data. The statistical measures included mean, standard deviation, independent sample T-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation. The survey reveals that age has a greater impact on satisfaction, while other backgrounds have no difference. A positive correlation was found between students acquired language skills with Taiwanese teachers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, students are satisfied with online learning, however, less satisfied with self-engagement and self-motivation. It also shows most students still believe that learning Mandarin Chinese is necessary, after the Indo-China confrontation.
