本篇論文從神話原型的角度來探究莎翁名劇《哈姆雷特》，理論基礎為弗雷澤(James Frazer, 1854-1941)《金枝》(The Golden Bough 1890)一書中的「阿里奇亞叢林儀式」理論。大陸學者袁憲軍對此已做過研究，發現《哈姆雷特》劇情與阿里奇亞叢林儀式有許多驚人的相同之處，然而，他並沒有找到代表哈姆雷特折下金枝的情節。 筆者選擇和袁憲軍不同的切入點，將阿里奇亞叢林儀式對應劇中三位主角：老國王哈姆雷特、奧菲麗雅和哈姆雷特王子的死亡，詮釋此三人之死於劇中展開、轉折與結束代表的意義，並試著尋找哈姆雷特折下金枝的情節，以及解釋阿里奇亞叢林儀式在《哈姆雷特》一劇中呈現的意義。

This article applied the mythological-archetypal approach to study Hamlet with the ritual pattern of the ancient myth of Elysian Fields in The Golden Bough by James Frazer. Yuan Xianjun had written the paper to analyze the relations between the ritual pattern and the plots in Hamlet. He discovered that the structure of Hamlet is so similar to the ritual pattern. However, Yuan Xianjun didn't find out the action about the golden bough broken by Prince Hamlet. I took a different approach to analyze the structure of Hamlet. I combined the ritual pattern with the deaths of three major characters, King Hamlet, Ophelia and Prince Hamlet to analyze the play, because their deaths have the especial meanings in the opening, transition and ending of the play. Besides, I tried to look for the action about the golden bough broken by Prince Hamlet, and discovered the new meanings of the ritual pattern of the ancient myth of Elysian Fields in Hamlet.
