本文旨在分析電影《千方百計》(＂O＂ Othello)電影改編中，如何自莎士比亞《奧瑟羅》(Othello) 原著中重置與取捨角色設定、詮釋編演情節，以及電影中新的詮釋呈現。2001年，由美國獅門電影公司(Lions gate Films)出品，尼爾森(Tim Blake Nelson) 執導的現代校園電影《千方百計》，該劇本乃根據莎士比亞四大悲劇之一《奧瑟羅》(William Shakespeare's Othello) 改編而成。電影《千方百計》將故事發生地點由威尼斯與土耳其的殺戮戰場，移轉到現代美國私立高中籃球運動比賽場上。該劇描寫美國南方的白人貴族高中，備受矚目、萬白叢中一點黑的歐登(Ordin) ，與內斂深沉、滿心嫉妒的雨果( Hugo )稱兄道弟。莎士比亞《奧瑟羅》描寫人性、愛情、嫉妒，電影《千方百計》如何詮釋人妒火中燒，導致背叛友誼、釀成大禍。在面臨時空差距，如何透過台詞、對白、圖像、視覺語言將莎士比亞之經典作品搬上電影銀幕，經典文學與現代社會的思維，是本文希冀分析討論的。本文企圖從電影《千方百計》的人物形象塑造與情節改編策略中，歸結其改編後的當代意義與詮釋價值。

The following article is an analysis of the movie ＂O＂ Othello, and emphasizes on how the characters, the plot and the settings are modified from Shakespeare's original play, Othello. ＂O＂ Othello, a 2001 American film, is directed by Tim Blake and produced by Lions Gate Films. ＂O＂ Othello is an adaption of Othello, one of the four great tragedies of William Shakespeare. Instead of taking place in the Venetian and Turkish war place, the movie is set in a modern private high school basketball game. The main character Odin James, is a popular student in school, and his friend Hugo is too easily made jealous. Othello describes humanity, love and jealousy, and how does the movie ＂O＂ Othello interpret jealousy and betrayal that eventually leads to a catastrophe? How does the movie reflect the play Othello literally and visually, despite the lag in time? The similarities and differences between a classic play and a modern movie is the significant goal of this article. This article will summarize and explain the meaning and value of modern world through ＂O＂ Othello's characters and the adaption of Othello.
