在當代表演藝術裡,科技劇場的概念被用來轉換觀眾對於劇場元素的認定、對表演性的認識,以及對場景的感知。就創作者的觀點而言,媒體科技的應用標示出一種想像的未知路徑;而從參與者的視野觀之,科技應用則構成觀眾的觀察路徑及其經驗途徑。因此,媒體科技的應用不僅只是工具性的思考,更是動向、行為的假設,進而創造出一種根莖狀式的結構,讓觀者可以在其中展開一趟旅程。本研究透過科技劇場的美學論述以周東彥的三件科技劇場作品-《空的記憶》、《我和我的午茶時光》與《光年紀事:台北-哥本哈根》作為探究文本,以文化分析為研究取徑,探究被譽為當代劇場影像詩人的周東彥導演,如何透過科技劇場形式,逐步地將觀眾引導入其所創造的獨特時空境地與影像詩學的感知經驗之中,藉此探析當代科技劇場創製中的數位影像、屏幕景框與科技裝置。

In contemporary performing arts, the concept of "techno-theatre" has been adopted to transform audiences' cognition of theatrical elements, understanding of performativity, and perception of stage scenes. As far as creators are concerned, the application of media technology has marked an imaginary unknown path. From participants' point of view, technological application provides audiences with approaches to observation and experience. Accordingly, the application of media technology is not simply instrumental thinking but also hypotheses about orientation and action. It creates a rhizome-like structure that enables viewers to set out on a fantastic journey therein. By reference to the aesthetic discourse of techno-theatre, this study treats three pieces of techno-theatre by Tung-Yen CHOU (i.e., Emptied Memories, Teatime with Me, Myself & I, and Chronicle of Light Year: Taipei-Copenhagen) as the texts. The cultural analysis approach is employed to investigate how the director, hailed as a poet of contemporary theatre, guided the viewers into his sui genesis space-time and immersed them in the poetic sensory experience by means of techno-theatre. The issues concerning the digital images, backdrop frameworks, and technological devices in the making of contemporary techno-theatre are addressed in this study as well.
