The purpose of this research aimed to investigate the crucial skills professional coaches place on each position in volleyball. Questionnaires were administered to Chinese Taipei (TPE) national volleyball team coaches with international competition experiences. We used analytic hierarchy process (AHP), geometric means, and matrix multiplication to appraise positions and skills in volleyball. In addition, Mann-Whitney U Test was used to determine whether the weightings of coaches were significantly different by gender. Results revealed the top three skill weightings include set, dig, and reception. Setter pertained the most important position. Moreover, no significant difference of skill weighting between male and female coaches was detected. Overall, our results suggested that the AHP could be used to identify the weightings of various volleyball skills, and the results obtained could provide practical application as decision-making for performance evaluations.

本研究目的旨在探討專業排球教練重視位置之關鍵技巧的程度。以問卷方式調查具有國際比賽經驗之中華台北排球國家隊教練。本研究運用層級分析法、幾何平均數、以及矩陣乘積來評估排球位置及技巧之權重。曼惠特尼U檢定比較男女教練權重之差異。結果顯示排球運動最重要的三個技術是舉球、防守、及接發球。球員位置中以舉球員最為重要。男女教練之間的技術權重無顯著的差異。整體而言,層級分析法可用來鑑定不同排球技術之權重,所得結果可提供教練決策績效評估之實務應用。
