背景:人類隨著年齡逐漸增長,會進而使身體功能和結構開始產生自然老化現象。老化會導致生理功能下降、影響健康、壽命減少、影響老年人生活品質及獨立生活能力。先前文獻推測,老年人可能可以藉由離心運動訓練(LET),達到提升肌肉力量、增加能量消耗與維持生理功能之平衡,故LET可能可做為高齡者維持生理功能及抗老化的有效方式之一。然而,目前文獻還不清楚老年人進行LET對抗老化或健康促進之真正效果。目的:針對LET對健康與不健康老人的抗老化效果與可能機轉,進行相關文獻探討與分析,進而提出一些未來研究方向。希望藉由本文介紹,能讓讀者瞭解LET對抗老化與訓練效果,並提出一些研究方向給對此研究議題有興趣者參考。

英文摘要

Background: After the human body reaches full maturity, physical functions and structure naturally begin to show signs of aging. The aging process results in physiological functional decline, reducing the health, quality of life and independent living skills of the elderly, and shortening life expectancy. Previous studies have postulated that lengthening exercise training (LET) may enhance the muscle strength, increase the metabolism, and maintain the balance of physiological functions in elderly individuals. Thus, LET may be an effective way to maintain human physiological functions and to slow the aging process. At present, however, it is still largely unknown whether LET would significantly slow aging or promote health in elderly individuals. Purpose: The present study was to review and focus on the effects and possible mechanisms of LET on the aging process in both healthy and unhealthy elderly individuals, providing some possible direction for future research. We hope this introduction will not only provide some new knowledge to readers regarding how LET could potentially prevent aging and produce a training adaptation for the elderly, but also provide some future direction for researchers who are interested in the topic of LET on anti-aging.
