According to the birth sign tradition, Taiwanese show passion for dragon and distaste for tiger. Yet, no one knows whether their achievement reflects the belief. Via a list of managers/entrepreneurs in Taiwan, this paper explores how the dragon and tiger cohorts have fared. In the list of managers the dragon cohort ranks top and bottom for the tiger, but the latter outruns the former as entrepreneurs, implying that this group has been disparaged, but the efforts to improve their fates have rendered them like truly intrepid tigers.
