This study aims to analyze the attack time and scoring areas of the top 4 teams in 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. As for the research method, the observation method was adopted to record the performance of the teams. Each match lasted for 40 minutes, and three matches were analyzed. The research results are as follows: (1) quantity of attacks and scoring: the total number of the attacks of the teams was 273, and 109 attacks were successful and led to a total score of 134 points; this indicates that a score was achieved about every three attacks, with an average score of 1.2 points for each successful attack; (2) the scoring areas: the sequence of the main attack areas is as follows: C, E, D, F, A and H; in the semi-final, the main scoring area was D, followed by E; in the final, the main scoring area was C, followed by E; (3) attack duration and area: the sequence of attack duration is as follows: 25 seconds, 15 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, and 5 seconds; the main duration for successful attack was 10 seconds, 15 seconds, and 20 seconds; as for the duration and area of scoring, 5 seconds was for D and F, 10 seconds for D, 15 seconds for E, 20 seconds for C, 25 seconds for F, and 30 seconds for C. According to the results, this study gives the following suggestions: the attack duration should be extended to 25 to 30 seconds in the training; emphasis should be shifted from the right side to the left side in the attack; focus should be placed on C, D and E in the training.
