本研究以一群常觀看王建民球賽的大學在職進修生為對象，深度訪談並蒐集他們觀看王建民球賽的前、中、後的感覺、情緒以及生活上的變化，再使用紮根理論分析法來建構一個理論模型，據以推斷這一群大專生是否因為這一件事項浮現出某種特定的現象，用以定義是否有所謂的王建民現象。經兩個輪次的紮根理論分析後，本研究發現因為這一群學生相當穩定地呈現了以下三個階段的現象：球賽前對該球賽產生了高度期待的現象、球賽中盡情享受球賽的刺激感並且積極與身旁的人分享整個球賽的過程、球賽後在日常生活中不自覺地建構出一個以王建民球賽為部份核心的生活重心，所以王建民現象確實存在。

After selecting part time students who regard themselves as the fans of Cheng Ming Wang, this study tries to hold in-depth interview with them so as to collect their feelings about the games in which Wang played. Then, through two runs of Grounded Theory, this study sets up a saturated procedural model with which this study declares that firstly, Cheng Ming Wang's Phenomenon does exist for sure. Secondly, this model explains that this phenomenon can be seen as an attachment phenomenon. Thirdly, those part time students in this study are all indulged in the joy of expecting the games before them, sharing the excitements of watching them during them, and setting up a life pattern which is highly related to Cheng Ming Wang. Since, according to the contents of the samples' responses, The Cheng Ming Wang's Phenomenon is so valuable that our government should take some steps to make good use of it to promote resident-in-Taiwan's good leisure and, especially, rescue Chinese Professional Baseball Game after all the gambling scams happened last year.
