本研究擬探討國中生網路成癮之靈性需求。採探索性質性研究法(explorative qualitative design),以臺北市某國中輔導室轉介,經網路成癮量表篩選為成癮個案為研究對象。以半結構訪談指引進行面對面訪談第一次收集資料,再以電話及網路即時通再次訪談,並以質性內容分析法分析。30位個案參與本研究,研究結果歸類為四個主題(一)人際關係方面:在尋找友誼之關係;(二)探索生命意義及本質方面:在網絡上尋找意義及價值及對生活的肯定;(三)自尊方面:利用網路發展信心,在日常生活減少壓力和焦慮;(四)未來指引方面:透過網路上的星座、占卜及信仰等指引未來。本研究期待藉由國中生網路成癮症候群之研究,以增加對青少年靈性需求之瞭解。

英文摘要

Background: The factors of isolation from home and social life might have contributed to the phenomenon of junior high school students with Internet Addiction Disorder (JHSSIAD), and furthermore, hindered their academic studies and family life and social interactions JHSSIAD has become a common international challenge. Nevertheless, few discussion and consensus have been reached. Rather, some scholars suggest that this particular group's spiritual distress such as frustration in values systems and meanings of life might be related to this phenomenon. However, until now, little information about related to spiritual care for JHSSIAD has been discussed.Purpose: To explore the spiritual needs of junior high school students with Internet Addiction Disorder.Method: The explorative qualitative research design was employed. A purposive sample was obtained from a junior high school in Taipei. The candidates were identified as high risk population of IAD by the consulting faculties with the related instrument. Two-steps of data collection were practiced: (a) face-to-face in-depth interviews; and (b) follow-up by telephone or internet communication systems according to the participant's preference.Results: Thirty informants (15 male, 15 female) participated in this project. Four major themes of spiritual needs were identified: (a) interpersonal relationships which mainly related to searching for love and friendship ; (b) searching for meanings and nature of life which mainly related to seeking the explanation and affirmation systems of life; (c) self-esteem which related to the attempts of developing self-confidence, and freeing from anxiety and stress with the help of Internet avenues; and (d) searching for future guidance with the help of internet-fortune telling systems.Conclusion: The families, teachers and friends of junior high school students with IAD are encouraged to better learn their spiritual needs of love, trusting interpersonal relationships, positive and firm meaning of life as well as supportive consultation for their future. By dong so, the JHSSIAD might be gradually fostered back to the balanced life style with the reasonable use of Internet systems.
