本研究其目的為：一、探討國語日報杯之背景。二、探討國語日報杯之發展概況。三、探討國語日報杯比賽成績。本研究採用歷史研究法、文獻分析，蒐集民57年國語杯開始至民102年此段時期有關於國語杯桌球的相關史料，並加以分析探討：（一）、民57年，政府實施九年國民義務教育，報社為了鼓勵兒童擺脫惡性補習，增進國民健康，提高桌球運動的技術，各校桌球人口隨之增多，水準也提高，不論球賽在哪裡舉行，每年總有上千名選手從全國各地前來參加，許多優秀選手早期都在本項賽事具有傑出表現，算是達到當初目的了。（二）、國語日報杯以國小學校為主，每年為有國小賽事沒中斷過，各縣市也積極推廣桌球運動，為各縣市爭取成績。賽制因選手數量增加，比賽的方式都有做調整，參與國語杯的選手是逐年增加的，選手數突破千人，從早期的至今參賽人數足足翻了兩倍多。此賽事提供舞台讓選手切磋、較勁，為台灣桌球基層奠定了良好的基礎。（三）、此賽事的成績方面以北、南部的國中小較為優異，學校老師的推廣跟家長支持為運動發展的重要因素之一，有優渥的資源加上學生努力學習，要得取獎牌不是一件難事，許多桌球好手，如莊智淵、蔣澎龍、吳文嘉等等的都曾經參與此賽事拿取好成績。 |
