The analysis of game statistics in four major tennis tournaments from 2012 to 2014: The investigations of factors influence the games and results

本研究透過2012至2014年網球四大公開賽之數據探討職業選手攻守技術型態的趨勢發展，另外四大公開賽場地型態對攻守數據的影響也透過統計分析進行討論。研究結果顯示如下：(一)攻守型態大致可分為發球速度、回擊能力與自我失誤三類；(二)顯著影響這三年的勝負關鍵技術型態則是回擊能力，(三)而四大賽中的溫布敦公開賽的自我失誤的數據則是明顯地低於其他公開賽，表示場地型態的不同很可能影響了身心理狀態的表現。

This study was to investigate the winning and losing factors in four major tennis tournaments from 2012 to 2014 by analyzing the male tennis players' game statistics; In addition, the differences in statistics between four tournaments were also discussed. The results found there were three factors named serving speed, net and baseline skills, and personal errors. Net and baseline skills showed significant difference in statistics between winning and losing matches in every tournament from 2012 to 2014; serving speed and personal errors had little influence to games winning and losing. Furthermore, the statistics of personal errors were significantly lower in Wimbledon tournament. It was suggested that players should not only develop personal skills, but also need to consider the factors of tournaments and strategies using against different opponents.
