How to effectively the Dividing Rate of Gain and Loss from Chief was the essential to volleyball game. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of self-receiving of chief spikers on the dividing rate of gain and loss from attack in the 2014 Enterprise Volleyball League. Methods: Data were collected from the videos of five teams participated in the 2014 Enterprise Volleyball League, and overall 27 matches, 102 sets were recorded and analyzed. And the overall performance of the five teams of the main attack and compare the main attack whether there is no attack on the attack under the rate of loss of detailed records, gain and loss from attack in each game and the differences with or without self-receiving were defined by Descriptive statistics analysis by SPSS software. Moreover, the relationship between the dividing rate of gain and loss after self-receiving and win games were analyzed by Pearson’s correlation coefficient test. Results: 1. Summary of individual spiker showed the variation of average wasn`t to find statistical difference. 2. Data from mutual competition record showed the spikers from teams in leading position (Taipower and National Training Center) displayed increase in the dividing rate of gain and decrease in the dividing rate of loss, suggesting the strategy of serving to spiker was not effective. On the other hand, the spikers from teams fell behind showed decrease in the dividing rate of gain and increase in the dividing rate of loss, indicating the strategy of serving to spiker was useful. Conclusion: The dividing rate of loss from spikers was affected by self-receiving, serving to spikers of competitor is a valid strategy especially for spikers of immature technique, but not for highly skilled spikers.
