日本職棒比賽用球改變對選手表現之影響

日本職棒自2011年球季開始使用彈性係數較低、縫線寬度較寬但高度較低的統一比賽用球，結果影響選手在2011年球季的表現，雖然投手的威力沒有明顯的進步，但是投手的成績大幅提升，打者的成績大幅下滑，也使得球隊的戰術也有所改變。中央聯盟的球隊大幅降低盜壘戰術且大量採用觸擊推進戰術，而太平洋聯盟的球隊同時增加了使用盜壘戰術與觸擊推進戰術的使用頻率。由日本職棒的例子得知，平時的練習與比賽中必須讓選手提早適應比賽用球。在國際比賽當中長打與得分必定較低，因此投手與守備的重要性大增，而在進攻上必須增加犧牲觸擊或盜壘戰術的使用頻率，加強推進的效率與速度的應用，才能在低比分的比賽中取得優勢。教練在國際賽事時也必須根據這些前提來挑選球員，在戰術執行時更必須穩紮穩打，才能在低比分的比賽中獲得勝利。

Nippon Professional Baseball started to use lower elasticity coefficient official ball since 2011 season, and the player performance changed a lot. Although the pitching performance did not improve significantly, the overall performance of pitchers improved, and the performance of batters stepped backward a lot. The team tactics also changed with the use of more steal bases and sacrifice bunts. In the case of Nippon Professional Baseball, we can learn that it is importance for the players to adapt to the game ball in both training and competition. The pitchers and defense will play important roles in low-scored international competitions, and tactics, just like steal bases and sacrifice bunts should be used more often to increase the speed and propulsive efficiency. Coach should select players based on these premises for the international competitions, and their tactics must proceed step by step in order to win in the low-score game.
