This research focuses on the effect of 10 hours metronome-based timing training on golf putting for novics players in 5 weeks, investigated the difference of shoulder, elbow and wrist joints movement after training. 14 college students aged from 18 to 23 were recruited in this experience and were randomized into two groups: a experimental group and a control group. The Motion Analysis System with 8 high speed cameras was used to collect the kinetics variables of the upper limb joints in 4, 8, 12 feet putts. The results showed the change of amplitude and duration of first downswing phase were consistent for shoulder and elbow joints, both were significantly decreased (p < .05). Therefore 5 weeks timing training changed the motor control pattern of shoulder and elbow, the proximal joints of upper limb, it showed a shortened and consistent accelerative phase in downswing phase. A combination of multiple upper limb muscles performed synchronal movement, it seemed that the movement control of shoulder and elbow have the function of stabilization after training. The movement of wrist joint did not show the similar pattern, the reason which is the character of too much wrist movement for novices when putting or the training effect did not influence the distal joint of upper limb need advanced research.
