本病例為一位65歲男性病患，因過去有眼中風病史及高血壓病史且於眼科門診確診為視黃斑病變，眼科建議病患採用玻璃體內注射治療但病患未接受治療。病患於是求助替代性療法並於中醫門診治療。病患在門診治療期間視力有所改善，每周均回診進行針灸及中藥服藥治療。經過近4~5個月治療後病患表示視力明顯改善。根據患者的視力改善情形，發現中藥治療的效果可改善視力讓病患有較好的生活品質。

This is a 65-year-old male patient with past history of eye retinal artery occlusion and hypertension and he came to ophthalmology outpatient department, and he was finally confirmed maculopathy. The ophthalmology doctor suggested him to accept intravitreal injection therapy but he denied this therapy. The patient therefore tried to complementary alternative medicine for help and came to our Traditional Chinese Medicine outpatient to treat. And during the TCM outpatient treatment, his visual acuity became improved. According to the patient's visual acuity condition, we found that Chinese herbal medicine treatment had amazing effect to improve the visual acuity for better quality of life.
