覃勤（1906－1981）出生於湖南常德，家學淵源，世代從醫，奠定深厚中國學術基礎。覃勤在習醫之外，對政治和社會運動向來積極熱情，自湖南群治法政大學畢業後，即積極為中醫發聲，向政府單位爭取權利；而在其努力下，中醫陸續得以受到各項行政保障，如：中醫師得到正名享有法律地位、中醫納入全國職業團體、將中醫列入高等考試等。覃勤來臺後為延續中醫精神，以促進中西醫融合的宗旨，與多位有識之士共同創辦中國醫藥學院，並榮任第一任校長，為日後數十年臺灣中醫教育發展做出重大貢獻。 |
| 英文摘要 |
Qin-Qin (1906-1981) was born in Changde, Hunan province. He had been studying Traditional Chinese medicine since childhood, which laid a solid foundation of Traditional Chinese medicine. He is enthusiastic about political and social movements in addition to studying Chinese medicine. After graduating from the Hunan Qunzhi University of law and politics, he actively fought for the rights of traditional Chinese medicine from the government. With his efforts, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners have been able to obtain various rights protection, such as TCM has been rectified and enjoy legal rights and interests; TCM practitioners have been included in national professional organizations; TCM examinations have been listed as senior examinations, etc. After Qin-Qin came to Taiwan, to continue the spirit of TCM and to promote the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, he co-founded the China Medical University with several like-minded partners and honored as the first president. He made great contributions to the development of TCM education in Taiwan in the future decades. |
