中文摘要 |
As a result of cost pressures, public psychiatric hospitals under the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, faced personnel shortages, and brought in many casual staff. This caused a substantial problem; employees performing the same job were paid at different levels, a problem which has become worse in recent years. Also, the staff experience a lot of stress and turmoil as they face the uncontrollable mental states of the psychotic patients. Subliminally, employee morale, job involvement, cohesion and work quality have deteriorated, as they have experienced great pressure and challenges in their work. In this study, the judgement sampling method was adopted, and all the staff of two psychiatric centers in central and southern Taiwan were selected as survey samples. They all completed questionnaires for this study. We tried to understand the level of each employee’s job involvement and cohesion after considering the different job backgrounds and epidemiological factors. We also analyzed the relationship between job involvement and cohesion. The results showed that, after controlling for the factors of different hospitals, different departments, employment status, sex, marital status, age, and education, job department and cohesion were highly related (r^2=0.40, p<0.001). |
