This paper takes the relationship between women and the imperial examination as a pointcut, selects the poems and related documentary sources of the Ming dynasty official female Zou SaiZhen, to discuss her aspiration and her family official career, and gives a glimpse into the female thoughts and life style at that time. In the life of Zou SaiZhen, the imperial examination is the department of her well-being which can delare her virtues, accomplish her words and works, and also can inherit and glorify her family name. Thus, achievement in the imperial examination is her lifelong commitment. However, the other side of the well-being is misfortune, thus, her poems also reflect the imperial examination limits to the female. The long-term examination results her in economic and spiritual dfficulities, the drifting of her political career, the separation of her family, her children and husband meteorite died, fame glory quickly annihilate visionary essence. Zou SaiZhen is well educated and has skillful talents for writing. Her poetry is creative and can express the heart voice of the Ming dynasty official women. She records her family pursuing fame through the imperial examinations. Also, her poems present the diversity of the imperial examination of the Ming dynasty.
