相較世俗化與個人化的西方婚姻，在印度教社會中的婚姻，不僅是個人生命發展的重要階段，更是奠定理想社會秩序的重要基石，反映宗教文化對於個人、社會與群體三者互動關係的深刻影響化透過宗教經典與實際個案的考察，本文將嘗試在繽紛炫目的印度教婚禮背後，描繪印度教複雜而多元的婚姻世界，並從中探求印度教徒藉此世界賦予生命意義的歷程。
