噁心嘔吐是化學治療最常出現之副作用，亦為臨床醫護人員的一大挑戰。本文經由文獻查證後依噁心嘔吐之致病機轉、造成身心影響、臨床評估、臨床處置與照護逐一討論與說明，期望能增進護理人員對病人接受化學治療後產生噁心嘔吐之知能，提供適切的評估及照護，協助病人與家屬減緩症狀困擾，進而提升其生活品質。

Nausea and vomiting are the most common side effects of chemotherapy that present major challenges to healthcare providers. This article describes the pathogenesis, physical and psychological effects, clinical assessment, management and nursing care of patients experiencing nausea and vomiting. The goals are (1) to increase nursing staff knowledge about chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting, (2) to provide appropriate assessment and care, and (3) to improve patient quality of life by reduction of symptoms and related stress.
