本文敘述一位45歲肺癌末期個案，在面對病程進展帶來生理的不適外，另在心理上則因癌症末期產生對死亡焦慮，故引發筆者深入探討的動機。護理期間102年9月13日-102年10月15日，筆者運用會談、直接觀察、身體評估等方式，收集身、心、社會及靈性各層面資料，並運用Gordon十一項健康功能性評估，確立個案有焦慮、低效性呼吸型態、危險性感染等健康問題，透過持續及主動關懷，與個案及案夫建立良好護病關係，協助維持基本生理功能、減輕疾病引發的不適感，並運用同理心，了解個案面對病程進展及死亡的態度，且運用安寧療護的理念，善用多媒體衛教，使個案及家屬產生正向態度來面對死亡這件事，降低焦慮反應，進而提升舒適度，讓個案說出對家人的期許、感激及在家人陪伴下得以善終，故筆者希望藉由此照護經驗，作為其他臨床護理人員照護類似個案的參考。

The article describes the one-month care experience of a terminal stage lung cancer patient's discomfort and his anxiety regarding death. Patient data on physical, psychological, societal, and spiritual aspects was collected through interview, direct observation and physical assessment. Major health issues identified were death-induced anxiety, ineffective breathing pattern and the risk of infection. Nursing care activities employed Gordon's functional health assessment, established rapport with the family, and assisted the patient to maintain basic physiological functions. Interventions also used empathy and the concept of hospice care to assist the patient and family facing disease progression and anxiety. It reduced the patient's anxiety level and allowed the patient to voice his expectation and appreciation for companionship to family.
