Targeted temperature management (TTM), also known as therapeutic hypothermia, can improve the neurological prognosis and reduce mortality among patients with spontaneous circulation following a cardiac arrest resuscitation, is considered a crucial component of post-resuscitation care., There are various cooling methods, fixed target temperatures, and warming rates can influence patients' response to treatment and prognosis. The authors conducted a literature review to introduce the types of targeted temperature management, methods, treatment stages, complications, and related nursing care. The findings of this study can form the basis for health care professionals to understand the goal of interventional targeted temperature management following cardiac arrest resuscitation.
