Purpose: to investigate 1. students' satisfaction toward existing physical activity curriculum. 2. level of satisfaction of students after completing freshman health fitness class. 3. whether reconstruct health fitness curriculum is needed from students' perspective. 4. physical activity class demand of students. Method: we employed self-designed ”NTU physical activity satisfaction and demand questionnaire” and randomly stratified sampled from 1400 students who have completed PE1 and were currently taking PE2 classes in 2007; 1323 valid questionnaires were obtained for analysis. Results: 1. students' satisfaction toward PE1 was low; 2. students were satisfied with ”teaching attitude” in PE1 classes whereas ”teaching content” was not satisfied. 3. there were 67% of students agreed to combine one sport event with existing PE1 classes in Freshman Health Fitness reconstruction and ”sport event” was the consideration priority, which were ranked as followed: basketball, badminton, volleyball, swimming, aerobic exercise, Yoga, tennis, table-tennis, dancing and Tai-Chi (sword). Conclusion: PE1 curriculum should be reconstructed by combining one sport event based on demand priority to meet existing PE1 curriculum requirement.
