Dance with musical instruments written by Zhou Gong on The Tsinghua University Warring States Bamboo Manuscripts (III) is an essential unearthed document, which contain nine chapters of Advices written by Cheng Wang. This article discusses the sixth chapter. On the basis of academics, this article will probe the whole chapter and solves the explanation of the following terms: "Ming Bu Yi Hai" is interpreted as "Ming Bu Yi Xie", Li Xue Qin’s explanation of the "Zhi" on "Zhi Tian Zhi Bu Yi" as "Dui" is accepted, but "Zhi Tian" should explained as "Pei Tian", which means "become the king". According to the bronze character and ancient books, "above and "below" are mostly referred to certain locations; they are rarely referred to a persons. Thus, "Gong Wei Zai Shang, Jing Xian Zai Xia" should be interpreted as "the glory (of the former kings) appears at above, their respect appears at below". |
