The main purpose of this study was to explore the effects of Eucalyptus oil towaradanti-fatigue on rats accepting high intensity endurance swimming training.24 male SD rats (8 weeks old) served as the subjects and were divided into 4 groups including control group, none oil sniffing group, 2 weeks oil sniffing group and 4 weeks oil sniffing group. The oil sniffing groups received oil sniffing 15 minutes a day for 2 or 4 weeks. All rats were loaded with weight (50% of body weight) located in the water tank for swimming until exhaustion. In the end, the researcher terminated them and collected their blood sample for analysis. The results indicated as followed: 1.Swimming performance: comparing with the 0oil group, the ability to maintain longer swimming time increased 8.4%(2w+oil) and 18.3(4w+oil); 2.Blood fatigue substance: there was not reaching any statistical significance on the density between blucose and free fatty acids (p>.05); the lactate on 0oil group was significantly higher than that of 3 other groups(p<.05); on contrary, there was not signigficance founded between 2w+oil, 4w+oil and 0oil groups. In conclusion, Eucalyptus oil is able to increase SD rats swimming performance. The effects is not related to energy metabolism substance, but is from the elimination of Latic Acid. Probably the cause is from the 1,8-cineole, which elevates the blood circulation
