Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to compare the differences in center of foot pressure (CoP) between university campus' Girl Student Ambassadors and the average healthy student in the upright posture. Methods: In this study, girl student ambassadors (experience group; n=12) and general healthy students (non-experience group; n=12) were enlisted with a total of 24 subjects. Each subject underwent a one-minute measurement of the center of foot pressure in a static standing posture with eyes open and eyes closed. The subject stood barefoot with folded arms crossed over the chest on the Medilogic in-sole foot measuring system (T&T Medilogic Medizintechnik GmbH Germany), measuring and recording the trajectory of the center-of-gravity displacement gravitational force trajectory, and the records archived in the notebook. Simultaneously, a program was coded to calculate the total length of the CoP displacement, illustrating the sway area and the sway velocity. The data obtained was collected and organized by descriptive statistics into the Paired Sample t-test to examine the differences between the open and closed eye conditions and the comparisons between the two groups. Results: The results showed that the sway total length, sway area and sway velocity of the non-experienced group under the closed-eye condition were much greater than those under the open-eye condition. In contrast, the sway total length and sway velocity under the closed-eye condition in the experienced group was smaller than under open-eye condition. On the contrary, the sway total length and the sway velocity under the closed-eye condition in the experienced group were smaller than those under the open-eye condition. Conclusion: The present study demonstrates that the Girl Student Ambassadors, with experience in wearing high-heels, have a better standing balance barefoot on a plane surface with CoP sway displacement in a closed-eye situation.
