老人入住長照機構，面對不熟悉的環境與照護人員，容易產生情緒問題，但因普遍人力不足，只能滿足老人生理需求，因此老人的心理健康是重大照護議題。研究目的：1.了解長照機構老人憂鬱及焦慮之現況。2.探討長照機構老人憂鬱及焦慮之預測因子。研究方法：以方便取樣（convience samping）在台北市3家長照機構收案，以問卷調查長照機構老人憂鬱及焦慮狀態。研究結果：67位老人平均年齡82.55±7.19歲，居住機構時間平均6.59±4.27年。老人憂鬱量表平均得分7.48±2.98，55位（82.1%）老人有不等程度的憂鬱情況。焦慮量表平均得分11.42±7.36，36位（53.7%）有不等程度的焦慮情況。49.25%老人同時有憂鬱與焦慮狀況。年齡與睡眠品質可預測老人憂鬱（F=12.67, R2=51.0%, p<.001）、老人焦慮得分（F=10.41, R2=40.0%, p<.001）。相關建議:長照機構老年住民有很高的憂鬱及焦慮盛行率，照護人員應提升對老人心理健康的重視。
英文摘要

After elderly people are admitted to long-term care institutions, they are prone to emotional problems because of the unfamiliar environment and caregivers. Because of labor shortages, long-term care institutions can only meet residents' physical needs; their mental health is a critical care issue. Aim: To (1) investigate depression and anxiety and (2) understand the predictors of depression and anxiety among elderly residents receiving long-term care. Methods: Through convenience sampling, participants were recruited from three long-term care institutions in Taipei City. A questionnaire was administered to investigate depression and anxiety among elderly residents of long-term care institutions. Results: The average age of the 67 participants was 82.55 ± 7.19 years, and their average length of residence in institutions was 6.59 ± 4.27 years. The average depression score was 7.48 ± 2.98; 55 participants (82.1%) had varying degrees of depression. The average anxiety score was 11.42 ± 7.36, and 36 participants (53.7%) had varying degrees of anxiety. In total, 40 elderly (59.7%) had both depression and anxiety. Age and sleep quality predicted depression (F = 12.67, R2 = 51.0%, p < .001) and anxiety (F = 10.41, R2 = 40.0%, p < .001). Recommendation: Depression and anxiety had a high incidence among elderly long-term care residents. Therefore, nursing staff should promote residents' mental health care.
